At Mastek, prioritizing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) is ingrained in every aspect of our operations. We are committed to fostering a workplace culture where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and develop. Our vision of diversity extends beyond traditional markers like gender, sexual orientation, religion, and age to encompass a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds, life experiences, thought processes, and ideas. As an organization, we are dedicated to empowering and championing each Mastekeer at every step of their journey.
Progress in DEIB Initiatives
Global DEIB Council
In 2024, Mastek established the Global DEIB Council with 25 members from various regions, including business and HR sponsors. This council ensures that Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives align with business strategy and goals, integrating DEIB principles into all organizational aspects.
Diversity at workplace:
At Mastek, we are making notable progress in our DEIB initiatives for FY 25. Our current Diversity Ratio is at 28% and we are aiming to reach 40% by 2026, aligning with UNSDG goals. Gender diversity focus is increasing year after year, and it’s a part of our FY 25 vision too. We are committed to enhancing gender diversity with robust policies, tailored benefits, and a flexible working environment.

We support young people’s career development through internships, and graduate programs. We proudly champion inclusivity by actively supporting individuals with disabilities and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, fostering a diverse and welcoming workplace for all.
Sensitization : Candid Conversation Sessions
We regularly review and design interventions to eliminate unconscious bias, conducting sensitization training for all Mastekeers. We also organize round table meetings and open forums for transparency and idea exchange. By Q3, we engaged 2000+ Mastekeers in 31 sessions on topics like the Mastek POSH Framework, Psychological Safety, Mindfulness, Workplace Diversity, Modern Masculinity, and LGBTQIA+ Awareness, featuring insights from internal and external speakers.
Comprehensive Training Programs
We have outlined comprehensive training programs for our leaders and DEIB Council members; these programs focus on unconscious bias, cultural competency, developing fair DEIB strategies tailored to specific regional nuances, and inclusive leadership practices.
Celebrating Contributions via DEIB Events
We celebrated International Women’s Day, Men’s Day, Global Diversity Awareness Month, and Pride Month with engaging round table discussions and shared experiences from Mastekeers, both in-person and virtually, highlighting the importance and contributions of these vibrant communities to Mastek and society at large.
As a part of the Pride Month campaign, we also enabled the Pronouns Feature on MS Teams, underscoring our ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive workplace.
Onwards & Upwards – Emerging Women Leaders Program
At Mastek, we prioritize promoting women in leadership roles to inspire and support early-career women in tech. Our focus remains on building stronger representation of women leaders, implementing flexible workplace strategies, and fostering an inclusive culture.
We launched the “Onwards & Upwards – Emerging Women Leaders Program” to support the career development of women Mastekeers in mid management roles. The program had a significant impact on the career development of the co-hort which was reflective in the NPS score of 4/5. We believe this initiative will not only increase the presence of women in leadership positions but also inspire women to pursue their careers ambitiously and aim for top management roles. This program further sustains itself into an ongoing LEAD (Learn, Engage, Achieve, Develop) program for the graduating participants, for ongoing learning and interactions with Senior leaders across Mastek.
Inclusive Policies
Our inclusive policies, including the Gender Reassignment Policy, are gender-neutral and regularly updated. In addition to our Social Value policy, we have incorporated specific policies that are quite effective in this area. These policies are along with our regular policies like HR policies on Equality and Diversity, Recruitment, Compensation and Benefits, Promotion, Flexible Working, Family Leave, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Modern Day Slavery Statement. Policies in line with the Racial Equality Directive, Equality Act, Workplace Equality, Employment Contracts, Working Hours, and Labour Employment Standards. Global DEIB Policy underscores our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
DEIB Awards
We also constituted an internal award on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) with the aim to actively recognize promoters and contributors for their inclusive practices within the organization.
DEIB Workforce Sentiment Survey
We recently introduced employee pulse surveys to monitor workforce sentiment, pinpoint areas for improvement, and assess the effectiveness of our diversity initiatives. Additionally, in 2024, we launched the Pride Inclusion Survey to track and evaluate the sentiments of LGBTQIA+ communities regarding areas for improvement.
We conducted an internal industry benchmark study to understand DEIB challenges and opportunities, leveraging insights from organizations excelling in this space. This helps us learn and adopt best practices to enhance our own DEIB initiatives.
Employee Resource Groups
Employee Resource groups for 4 diverse groups- Women, Mastek In-circle for LGBTQIA and allies, decoding parenthood for parents, and also for Men. We recently launched in-person connect for women across various Mastek offices to promote engagement and build stronger internal community.
Workplace Accessibility Assessment
We are conducting assessment to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary accommodations. This includes evaluating the accessibility of physical spaces and digital resources to foster a more inclusive and supportive work environment for everyone.
Work-from-Home and Flexible Policies
Our work-from-home option also favours mothers returning to the office. It also favours employees with disabilities, living in remote locations, people with health problems or impairments, people with carer responsibilities. We also have policies like women-friendly maternity benefits & facilities, all to strengthen our commitment to include better diversity and ensure women Mastekeers have healthy and sustainable careers at Mastek.
